Goldman and Citadel Securities join $135m funding round for blockchain startup

Crypto firm raises fresh cash from some of the world’s biggest financial firms

Blockchain startup Digital Asset has raised $135m from a slew of major financial firms, including Goldman Sachs and Citadel Securities, as the technology behind cryptocurrency enters into the mainstream.

Digital Asset’s funding round was led by Tradeweb and the venture capital arm of proprietary trading firm DRW, according to a 24 June statement.
