Gary Cohn’s donating to Goldman Sachs’ charities instead of handing cash back for 1MDB clawback

The development is the latest twist in the back-and-forth between the bank and its former president

Goldman Sachs’ former president Gary Cohn is donating to charities sponsored by his ex-employer instead of handing over $10m the bank wanted to claw back to fund repayments for 1MDB fines.

The donation marks the latest development of a drawn-out back-and-forth between the bank and Cohn, who initially refused to return the money to Goldman Sachs.
