European stocks decline as Fed moves to cut bond holdings

Stocks across Europe sold off Thursday, shaken by the Federal Reserve’s plan to start reducing its buildup of government and mortgage-backed bonds that’s been a pillar of support for equity markets worldwide, MarketWatch reports.

The Stoxx Europe 600 index fell 0.5% to 378.15. No sector moved higher, and telecom and financial shares lost the most. The pan-European index closed fractionally higher on Wednesday.
