Risks to financial stability are mounting: ‘We haven’t seen conditions like this in almost four decades’

The risks to financial stability are “very high” as a combination of high inflation, low to negative growth and tight financing conditions put pressure on markets and the real economy.

“We haven’t seen conditions like this in almost four decades,” said Klaas Knot, chair of the Financial Stability Board and president of the Netherlands Central Bank.
