FSA rapped over L&G mortgage mis-selling case

The Financial Services Authority, the UK markets regulator, has promised to take steps to improve its procedures after a tribunal criticised its handling of its landmark mortgage mis-selling dispute with Legal & General, the insurer.

The Financial Services & Markets Tribunal, which was presiding over an appeal by Legal & General against a £1.1m mortgage mis-selling fine imposed by the FSA, today published its judgment on the case.
