France Télécom buys Amena for €6.4bn cash

France Télécom has agreed to buy 80% of Amena, the mobile arm of Spanish telecommunications group Auna, for €6.4bn ($7.7bn) in cash. It will partly finance the deal with the sale of €3bn worth of new shares.

The acquisition values Amena at €10.6bn.
