Former JPMorgan, Moelis dealmaker Roberts goes it alone with new boutique

The former bulge bracket dealmaker has launched a boutique as IPO activity has surged in Europe

A former senior JPMorgan investment banker, who quit the US bank to help expand boutique Moelis’ fledgling European equity capital markets unit in Europe has now left to launch his venture aimed at guiding companies through the IPO process.

Chris Roberts, who joined Moelis in March 2018 to help set up its equity advisory unit in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, has left the boutique bank to launch Start Point Advisory.
