FIX Protocol, the developer of the Financial Information Exchange (FIX) messaging protocol, has launched a certification programme for FIX users designed to standardise trade execution and settlement communications between fund managers and their brokers.

The programme will initially be focused on fixed income securities and the latest version of the protocol, FIX 4.4.
