As JPMorgan was preparing to shift some trading operations away from the UK after Brexit, the chief executive of its EU business expected regulatory scrutiny.

But the amount of hoops that the Wall Street lender had to jump through as it shook up its operations after the UK left the EU was surprising nonetheless.
