Fidelity turns to rivals to boost its equities business

The asset manager hires two senior executives from rivals F&C Asset Management and Henderson to take on the roles of head of European and global equities

Fidelity International has recruited two senior fund managers from rivals F&C Asset Management and Henderson to take on the roles of head of European and global equities in a boost to a franchise that has seen a raft of personnel changes in the past year.

Paras Anand, previously head of European equities at F&C Asset Management, has moved to Fidelity to become head of pan-European equities. Meanwhile Richard Lewis, a former co-head of New Star Asset Management's $12bn institutional business, has arrived at Fidelity as head of global equities.
