‘Performance-related fees give better returns'

Funds with performance-related fees offer superior performance to those with normal fee structures, according to an academic research study.

The paper, by US finance professors Edwin Elton, Martin Gruber and Christopher Blake, says funds with performance-related fees exhibit better stock selection capabilities and also generate lower overall costs.
