Sandy Weill, chairman of Citigroup until next April, has dealt with quite a few tough characters over the years.
But, in his view, there is one character who out-toughs them all â Vladimir Putin, president of Russia. One of Weill's friends confides: "Sandy reckons that Putin is the only man he's ever met who refused to drop his eyes first, while shaking hands."
