Watchdog wants to keep a lid on the potential risks from a booming sector

The Financial Conduct Authority has zoned in on how private markets firms value their assets in a bid to keep on top of potential risks in the sector.

In a survey seen by Financial News, the FCA asks private markets firms how frequently they value assets, whether every valuation is done in full, and how ad hoc valuations are triggered.
