FCA warns ‘understated’ UK stock market liquidity could impede listings

The Financial Conduct Authority has questioned whether the true liquidity of the UK stock market is “understated” and warned such a scenario could hamper listings activity.

In a discussion paper on its transparency regime, published on 4 July, the City regulator said it would consider proposing changes so that “potentially price forming” trades executed bilaterally could be more easily identified.
