FCA unveils final rules in investment research shake-up

New rules have been published alongside a range of other proposals designed to provide a boost to the UK market

The UK regulator has unveiled long-awaited rules that give asset managers more flexibility over how they pay for investment research, part of a wider package of reforms the City watchdog hopes will boost the country’s capital markets.

The Financial Conduct Authority launched a consultation in April on overhauling the rules around how asset managers pay for investment research, following a wide-ranging review last year of the UK market by Hogan Lovells partner Rachel Kent
