The UK’s regulator’s enforcer-in-chief has warned that the FCA is keeping a close eye on the use of unauthorised messaging apps in finance as the UK’s largest firms grapple to monitor a pandemic-fuelled spike in the use of WhatsApp and its rivals Signal and Telegram among employees.
