The UK regulator wants to give pooled investment funds more flexibility over how they pay for investment research as part of a planned overhaul to fees.

The Financial Conduct Authority is consulting on proposals including bundling payments for third-party research with execution costs after it granted asset managers greater flexibility to pass on research expenses to investors.
