A lawyer representing two women's civil action against hedge fund founder Crispin Odey has asked the City watchdog to safeguard assets ahead of potential proceedings against him.

The two alleged victims are pursuing legal action following claims they were sexually assaulted by Odey, who founded the £10bn Mayfair-based hedge fund. They are among five women who disclosed allegations of sexual assault in a Tortoise Media podcast in December 2022. The alleged incidents took place between 1998 and 2021.
