EY’s UK chair Hywel Ball to step down

Ball was a supporter of the Project Everest plan to break up the firm which was scrapped last year

EY’s UK boss Hywel Ball is stepping down, triggering a leadership race to succeed him.

Former audit head Ball has been chair and managing partner of the UK firm since 2020, and his tenure in charge was extended late last year to June 2025.
