EY is set to merge a series of its regional business units as part of a major overhaul by new global chair Janet Truncale.

Truncale took over the role last year in the wake of the firm’s failed breakup. She succeeded Carmine Di Sibio in July after his radical proposal to split the firm between audit and consulting — codenamed Project Everest — collapsed in 2023 following infighting.
