EY’s Project Everest was abandoned before executives had a chance to get near the summit.

The ambitious plan launched by EY boss Carmine Di Sibio to split its hulking audit business from its consulting arm was beset by infighting and clashes between its European and US business. It was ultimately scrapped in April 2023.
