The former chair of Citigroup Richard “Dick” Parsons has died.

Parsons was appointed chair of Citi in 2009 as the bank reeled during the global financial crisis. He was also made chief executive of AOL Time Warner in the aftermath of a disastrous dotcom boom merger.
