Evolution Beeson Gregory, the UK investment boutique, has snapped up TD Waterhouse's sales trading team in a move which represents a significant blow to the Leeds-based institutional brokerage.

According to sources close to the three-man team led by John Bennett, the business relied heavily on the traders for its revenues.
