European Bond Yields Rise in Holiday-Thinned Trade

0908 GMT – European sovereign bond yields rise amid subdued trading volumes ahead of the Christmas holiday period. “With many European markets open for only half a day or shut on Tuesday, probable low volatility trading lies ahead,” IG analysts say in a note. The 10-year German Bund yield rises 4.3 basis points to 2.328%, according to Tradeweb. The French equivalent rises 5.5bp to 3.145%. U.K. 10-year government bond yields rise 3 basis points to 4.588%.
