Euroclear appoints Valérie Urbain as next chief executive

Urbain first joined Euroclear in 1992, and will take over from Lieve Mostrey in May

Euroclear has appointed Valérie Urbain as its next chief executive. She is succeeding Lieve Mostrey, who has held the position since 2017.

Urbain has spent her entire career at the central securities depository, first joining in 1992. She was made chief executive of Euroclear France, Netherlands and Belgium in 2009, and was later promoted to head Euroclear Bank in 2015 and then chief business officer of the group in 2021.
