EU bond tape might not launch until 2027 as regulator warns of delay

UK efforts to create a golden source of trading data have also been slowed down, following a legal challenge

EU plans for a centralised bond trading data feed are facing delays after the bloc’s markets regulator suggested its authorisation process may take longer than expected.

Ediphy, a British fintech firm chosen to provide the EU’s first consolidated tape for bonds, is targeting a launch in late 2026 or early 2027, according to people familiar with the matter.
