Capital markets activity slumped at the London Stock Exchange again in the third quarter, but the exchange still reported a 5% profit increase.

New capital issues for the third quarter of 2022 slipped from 45 to 18, a fall of 60% on the same quarter last year, according to results published by the exchange on 21 October.
