Eircom demands clarification on takeover offers

Eircom, the €2.87bn ($2.43) Irish telecoms group, said on Friday it was seeking clarification on proposed offers made for the company.

Eircom has been locked in negotiations over its possible takeover for several months, and although four parties are currently interested, the company has yet to receive an official bid. Its calls for clarification follow revised proposals from two separate investor groups, e Island and Valentia.
