Duke Street hires rival for French expansion

Duke Street Capital, the UK private equity house, has poached Samantha da Soller from rival DLJ Phoenix Private Equity.

Da Soller joins Duke Street as an investment executive and is to specialise in the French buy-out market. Like a number of other private equity firms Duke Street is keen to grow its continental European business. Its highest profile deals to date have been largely in the UK DIY sector.
