DLA Piper has examined a full financial merger between the law firm’s US and non-US arms, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.

Full financial integration between the firm’s US partnership and its international partnership would be the most significant step forward for the firm since the two parts of the business first came together in a loose tie-up in 2005, in what was then the largest law firm merger in history.
