Directors ignore good people management

The Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development's Voices from the Boardroom publication has found that many board level managers are ambivalent about training and sharing information with staff.

CIPD director general Geoff Armstrong said: 'Senior managers are still unaware of the compelling evidence that links people management with the bottom line.'
