Dimon senior leaves Citigroup after 30 years

Ted Dimon, a stalwart in Citigroup's Smith Barney brokerage division and father of JP Morgan chief executive Jamie Dimon, has left for a rival.

His departure to join Merrill Lynch ended a three-decade association with companies run by Sandy Weill, who retired as Citigroup's chairman earlier this year.
