Deutsche Bank has strengthened its capacity in the commodities sector with the appointment of Michael Lewis as Global Markets head of commodities research.

Lewis, who was previously a director and senior foreign exchange strategist at the bank, will take up the newly-created position immediately. In his new role he will head up all of the firm's commodity research and will report to Jamil Baz, Deutsche's global head of fixed-income research.
