Deloitte appoints heavyweight non-execs to audit board

The appointments of Sir Hugh Robertson and Elisabeth Stheeman follow the departure of Baroness Ford in October 2023

Deloitte UK & North and South Europe has added Sir Hugh Robertson and Elisabeth Stheeman as two independent non-executives to its audit governance and oversights boards. 

Robertson has already started in the role. He is chair of Birmingham Airport and the British Olympic Association and was the first independent chair of Camelot, the operator of the national lottery until January this year. He served as minister for sport and the Olympics from 2010 to 2013, with responsibility for overseeing the London 2012 Olympic Games, and as minister of state for the Middle East and North Africa from 2013 to 2014.
