Switzerland’s finance department is contesting a court ruling that could have seen around 1,000 Credit Suisse bankers handed lost bonus payments.

The Federal Department of Finance in Switzerland is challenging the judgement of the Swiss Federal Administrative Court, which ruled a move to permanently reduce bonuses of Credit Suisse staff in the aftermath of the bank’s rescue by rival UBS was unlawful.
