Costs for pension ruling differ widely

Yesterday's ruling for part-time pensioners by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) has led to widespread speculation over the amount it will cost the UK industry.

The ECJ has upheld a ruling that part-time workers can claim back-dated pension contributions from their employers, as far back as 1976 (see eFinancialNews, May 16).
