UBS-bound fixed-income star makes Nomura switch

One of London’s best-known fixed-income bankers who was set to return to UBS last month, has opted instead to join rival bank Nomura, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Guy Cornelius, the former Lehman Brothers banker who most recently built a profitable fixed-income business for London-based Evolution Securities, will not be joining UBS, a spokesman for the Swiss bank confirmed.
