Converteam cashes in as French dealmaking takes off

The management team at French power generation company Converteam could gain an estimated €600m ($927.5bn) from a planned secondary buyout as four auctions in the local market mark a surge of activity after a quiet first quarter.

The Lehman Brothers and Hawkpoint-run auction of Barclays Private Equity’s portfolio company could raise up to €1.5bn.
