CME posts 13% revenue jump as geopolitical uncertainty drives trading

Volume and open interest grew in every asset class on the exchange in the second quarter

CME boosted revenue in the second quarter as it saw record trading in many contracts, including its US Treasury complex.

Revenue grew 13% to $1.5bn in the second quarter. The exchange said both open interest and average daily volume were up in every asset class for the first time since the first quarter of 2010.
