City workers are being offered less tempting pay packets when changing jobs, as investment banks and asset managers slash roles and freeze hiring to control costs.

The average salary change for a financial services professional switching jobs dropped to 13% in the second quarter of 2023, according to the latest data from recruiter Morgan McKinley.
