City watchdog mulls fee cap for claims management companies

Some CMCs take as much as 40% in fees from consumer compensation

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has proposed a price cap on the fees claimed by claims management companies in relation to claims for financial products and services.

The FCA said some consumers pay fees worth more than 40% of the compensation they recover.
