City lobbyists call for swift progress on Brexit financial services talks

The City’s financial and professional services sectors need ongoing post-Brexit talks to be “swiftly and transparently progressed” to resolve remaining issues, a leading industry body has said.

Teams from the UK’s Treasury and the European Commission are locked in discussions about the future of financial services following the end of the transition period, in a bid to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the matter by March.
