City workers are more motivated to switch jobs by higher pay than flexible working, as the cost of living continues to climb and firms shrink headcount.

Remuneration was cited as the top consideration when searching for a new job by 42% of workers across investment banking, asset management, law, accounting, trading, hedge funds and fintech polled by Financial News.
