Citigroup’s top UK bankers said confidence in M&A has sharply rebounded in recent weeks after volatility stoked by US tariffs in April slammed the breaks on dealmaking.
Citi’s UK chief executive Tiina Lee told reporters at a 16 June roundtable that the Wall Street bank’s clients have been “extremely active” in areas such as debt financing and were increasingly looking at investment opportunities in India, China and parts of Europe.
