Citigroup is set to cut 3,500 jobs from its technology operations in China as part of its ongoing efforts to simplify its business.

The US bank will cut the roles from its China Citi Solution Centres in Shanghai and Dalian, it said in a statement, as it continues to pare back technology functions in a bid to reduce costs.
