Citigroup boss Jane Fraser is reportedly mulling a significant change to the bank's structure that could see her take greater day-to-day control over operations.

Plans are afoot to split the bank's mammoth institutional clients group into three, with new reporting lines directly into Fraser, the Financial Times reports.
