Chase relationship at Gerling gives JP Morgan M&A mandate

The relationship with Gerling dates back to the days before JP Morgan and Chase Manhattan merged. On several occasions Chase had worked on financing transactions for Gerling, but neither bank had ever done any M&A advisory work for the company.
