Michael Soehlke, vice-president at Eon, will become chief financial officer at Powergen, after the German company's takeover of the UK electricity group. He succeeds Peter Hickson who announced his resignation last week, along with that of chief executive Nick Baldwin.

Neil Cannetty-Clarke has been appointed finance director of Granada's Broadcasting Enterprises Division. He joins from iTouch, where he is currently CFO.
