I’ve seen whistle-blowers at other firms destroy their careers by speaking out. I’ve not encountered any wrongdoing at my organisation, but is there any hope for me if I do?

It's a very topical question. The Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards, when it published its report in 2013, found that the main reasons the banking scandals they examined were not brought to senior management's attention by employees was because employees feared the consequences of speaking out.
