Cantor Fitzgerald scraps internship programme amid job cuts

Reps at the private investment bank told interns this week that the programme is cancelled, sources told Financial News

Cantor Fitzgerald has cancelled its summer internship, as the privately-owned investment bank and brokerage axes jobs amid talks for a potential sale of a European unit.

Cantor told incoming interns of the move this week, according to people affected. The bank was set to take on around 30 people in front-line roles, they said. There is expected to be a separate recruitment process for full-time positions.
